Trapped at the Bottom of the Sea
Book 4 of the The Cooper Kids Adventures series
192 pages · First published 1990
After an argument with her father, Lila Cooper boards an Air Force flight from Japan to the United States, determined to leave his teaching expedition behind. A hijacking and explosion instead leave her trapped inside a secret weapons pod on the Pacific Ocean floor. With her oxygen running out, her father and brother join journalist Meaghan Flaherty in a desperate rescue effort complicated by terrorists pursuing the same cargo. Alone beneath the surface, Lila struggles with fear, faith, and the angry words she may never have a chance to take back. Island chases above and claustrophobic danger below make this a breathless adventure anchored in forgiveness and trust in God.
