Christian Historical Romantic Suspense
Island of the Innocent
Book 7 of the Cheney Duvall, M.D. series
320 pages · First published 1998
When physician Cheney Duvall travels from San Francisco to Hawaii with her colleague Dr. Walker Baird, she is determined to warn her longtime friend Shiloh Irons about a wealthy family he believes may hold the key to his mysterious origins. Shiloh hopes the Winslows are his long-lost relatives, but their hostility toward him—and troubling discoveries about Bain Winslow—suggest that someone is desperate to conceal the truth. With a stolen fish-shaped compass and tapestry among the few clues to his identity, Cheney and Shiloh must navigate family secrets, dangerous rivalries, and feelings neither can easily dismiss. As the mystery deepens, a devastating volcanic eruption threatens to trap Cheney between advancing lava and treacherous ocean waters. Combining faith, historical romance, family intrigue, and breathtaking island adventure, this seventh Cheney Duvall novel is ideal for readers who enjoy strong heroines, hidden heritage, and high-stakes journeys toward love and belonging.
