Henry and Christine Delaney, the adopted children of Canadian Mountie Wynn Delaney and his wife Elizabeth, are now grown and facing very different challenges. Henry follows in his father's footsteps by joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where his duties test his courage, judgment, and commitment to doing what is right. Meanwhile, Christine longs for love and a life of her own, but her attraction to a charming, wealthy young man leads her toward choices that threaten her happiness. As both siblings encounter disappointment, difficult decisions, and unexpected opportunities, they must discover whether the faith their parents taught them can sustain them through adulthood. Continuing Janette Oke's Canadian West saga, this historical Christian novel explores duty, romantic disappointment, family bonds, and learning to trust God when life takes an unexpected turn. This historical family story suits readers who enjoy journeys into adulthood, romantic disappointments, and faith tested by choices parents cannot make for their children.
